'Fly-Over America'. You've heard the phrase. It calls to mind a wide swatch of land that so many people cross over, not looking down as they drink their cocktails and watch the in-flight movie.

Funny thing is, the people on the ground don't know the people in the planes any more than the jetsetters know them.

Here's an even funnier thing: there's another, more localized part of America. Call it 'Speed-Past America.' It bumps up right next to where you live. You drive by on the Interstate, maybe pull off to fill your gastank, before speeding on to your destination But if you would stop to chat, you would find that the people who live here aren't so much different in their values, their hopes, or their dreams than you are.

Or are they?

The little town of Charity lies in a rural zone outside of big cities. Maybe outside your big city. The people live their lives and have stories to tell. These are some of those stories.
